Start with the coil you actually run
A slitting line turns a master coil into strips of set width. The right configuration follows the coil: material and grade, thickness range, coil width, coil weight and inner diameter, the finished strip widths, and the output you need.
Hongzhong builds each line around those inputs — not from a fixed off-the-shelf list. The figures below are catalogue references published on this site. Working width, speed and capacity are confirmed in the technical proposal for your project.
Light-gauge and mid-gauge strip (about 0.3–2.5 mm)
For thin stainless, cold-rolled and galvanized coil where strip width tolerance and edge quality matter, the site lists a high-precision light-gauge slitting line (1400 series) at 0.3–2.0 mm, with AC drive and a Taiwan-derived slitter design.
The precision double-slitter line (model HZ-FT-1600*2-SS-003) covers 0.3–2.5 mm, coil weight up to 15 t, and coil inner diameters 508 / 610 mm with outer diameter 1800 mm. Two slitter heads let one knife set run while the next is prepared.
Galvanized and coated coil is covered by a galvanized coil slitting line (1400 series, 0.3–2.0 mm, coil width 1400 mm) with a belt-type tension unit ahead of the recoiler to protect the surface.
Wider coil and heavier frames
The heavy-duty slitting line (1600 series) uses a heavier frame and larger arbors for wide coil up to 15 t, at 0.3–2.0 mm, for stainless, hot-rolled, cold-rolled and galvanized steel. Catalogue coil width: 1600 mm.
Thick plate coil (3–16 mm)
When the coil is plate thickness, the thick plate slitting line covers 3–16 mm, with a heavy rigid knife stand and heavy pinch and straightening rolls ahead of the slitter. Video inspection is listed as available.
Compact lines for aluminum, copper and steel
The HZ-850 single-slitter line is a compact series-850 machine for aluminum, copper and steel coil. It can be combined with a cut-to-length section when you also need sheet from the same plant.
What we need to propose a first layout
- Material and grade
- Thickness range
- Coil width, weight and inner diameter
- Finished strip widths
- Required output and available floor space
Send those details through the project brief form, WhatsApp or email. A photo or drawing of your floor space helps with the layout.
